ABMA Foundation Comedy Fundraiser

The Alberta Baumgart Memorial Award Foundation and RC Comedy Production present a night of comedy on Saturday August 22nd at 8:30 pm.  Proceeds are to benefit the scholarship fund.

The Alberta Baumgart Memorial Award was created to award and O.H. Platt wrestler who displays the bravery, resilience, and dedication, to his team and to himself, throughout his career as a Platt wrestler. 

Former Platt wrestler Rick Carino will be performing as well as fellow comedians Vince McElhone, Ashley Strand and Pat Oates.

The show will be at Ryders on Main located at 467 West Main St in Meriden, CT.  Tickets are $15 and are available at Ryders on Main. 

Alberta, through her 5-year battle with cancer, showed an amazingly positive attitude and handled such a situation with grace and character. Many people would do nothing but lash out at others and bring everyone around them down. This was not Alberta's attitude. While Alberta did not tolerate incompetence from her doctors and caregivers, she did not have a negative attitude and outlook. Alberta was a true strong spirit whom we have chosen to represent the best character a person can display when faced with an insurmountable challenge.
